CALL FOR PAPERS

SYRCoSE 2011
The 5th Spring/Summer Young Researchers' Colloquium on Software Engineering
May 12-13, Yekaterinburg, Russia

http://syrcose.ispras.ru

SYRCoSE (Spring/Summer Young Researchers' Colloquium on Software Engineering)
is a colloquium for young researchers specializing in software engineering.
The goal of the colloquium is to help young researchers to meet each other, to
get more information on work of their colleagues, to exchange their experience,
and to practice in presenting their results at international conferences.

TOPICS OF INTEREST

* Software Development Processes
* Object-Oriented Analysis and Design
* Programming and Specification Languages
* Component-Based Software
* Distributed and Concurrent Software
* Requirements Engineering
* Visual Modeling
* Reengineering and Reverse Engineering
* Formal Methods
* Quality Assurance
* Software Safety and Security
* Testing, Verification, and Validation
* Functional Design and Verification of Hardware
* Software Development and Analysis Tools
* Software Engineering Education

TYPES OF CONTRIBUTIONS

We accept papers authored by students, PhD students or young researchers up to
35 years old. Researchers over this age limit are allowed as co-authors provided
that the report is presented by a young author. Papers must be written and
presented in English.

We admit original papers of the following types:

* Full research papers presenting the accomplished research up to 12 pages
length. Such papers do not have limits on co-authors except that at least one
of the co-authors is a young researcher making the presentation at the
colloquium.

* Research-in-progress reports which should contain an abstract describing a
problem of interest and particular goals of the research, a short description
of related work with analysis of differences between the existing methods and
the approach proposed by the author, a summary of results achieved and future
work directions. Normally, such papers should be solely authored (although the
scientific supervisor should be specified). The length of such papers should
not exceed 6 pages.

* Industrial papers demonstrating novel or non-trivial applications of software
engineering methods. Like full research papers, industrial papers should meet
the requirement that at least one of the co-authors is a young person making
the presentation at the colloquium.

SUBMISSIONS

All contributions to SYRCoSE have to be submitted electronically in PDF
format via the conference website. All submissions have to follow double-column
ACM/IEEE format:
